TRAINING
We provide a wide range of training (private, customized, onsite, offsite, public and online) to address the different needs of your organization. Every training is interactive and filled with improv games to engage the audience and keep it fun. Some of our popular trainings include:

IMMERSIVE AGILE AND
SCRUM MASTER WORKSHOP
This is a private, “Scrum Master immersion” workshop. The training includes coaching into the basics of Agile and Scrum and how to play the Scrum Master role effectively. These 18+ hours of training and coaching from an expert who’s played this role for 15+ years will give you a 360 degree understanding of one of the most important roles in Scrum. Coaching along with Training will help understand the deeper aspects. Unlike other trainers, our coaches are hands-on working with teams, management and executives day and night which helps bring forth powerful insights into real time issues and scenarios prevalent with the teams and companies today. On completion of this workshop you will qualify to take the Scrum Alliance test towards Scrum Master Certification*
All sessions are mandatory. We will move at a comfortable pace and deep dive into important aspects. An additional optional session will be held following the course to review sample tests and additional questions.
*Guide level Scrum Alliance coaches (CTC, CEC) are enabled to provide Certified Scrum Master(CSM) certification for private groups only. As such this workshop is called “Immersive Agile and Scrum workshop” but covers much more than the learning objectives offered at a CSM class. On completion, those who are interested will be setup to take the test for CSM certification
SERVANT LEADERSHIP WORKSHOP
Servant Leaders take responsibility for owning their people’s happiness and build organization around values that align people, their passion and purpose to the organizational goals. Our Servant Leadership workshop trains and empowers leaders in understanding of servant leadership and how it can effectively nurture and grow people and accomplish goalsRecommended for: C-Suite, Senior Leaders, Department Heads, Managers, Scrum Masters and Team Leaders
This is a highly experiential 2-day workshop where leaders will learn:
- Introduction to Servant Leadership
- Traits of successful Servant Leaders
- Servant Leadership Journey
- Introduction to science based mental fitness tool for daily well being
- Servant Leadership impact on (Agile) teams
- Study and use of a research based team progression model
- Continuing further towards becoming a great Servant Leader
SCRUM MASTER
Refresher
Scrum Master is the most important role in Scrum. It’s a delicate role and too specialized to be treated lightly. If this role is set up correctly, delegated to the right person and empowered, it can help the teams become highly effective in a very short time. Our Scrum Master training includes in-depth exploration of the role, discussions on Agile anti-patterns, practical use cases and role play to address a wide range of issues that teams face on a day to day basis and how a good Scrum Master would address them effectively.
PRODUCT OWNER
Refresher
The Product Owner is another important role in Scrum. This role needs to be played by the right person and implemented carefully to be effective. A good product owner creates a shared understanding of the product/project vision and goals between the business and development team. Our training for the Product Owner covers several important aspects of this role including responsibilities, product visioning, release planning, estimations, prioritization techniques, scaling, participation in team ceremonies etc. We also do role play by simulating various Scrum ceremonies and situations to highlight how this role can be played effectively.
TEAM
Refresher
Our Agile training for teams aims to help them understand the meaning of self organization and how to be effective by understanding and adopting the Agile principles and mindset.
Topics include:
- Discussion on why and how to build all skills within a team to enable them to deliver working software (product) frequently.
- Importance of powerful engineering practices (such as Test Driven Development (TDD), Pair Programming, Continuous Integration, Whole Product Focus etc.)
- Good team habits such as swarming to finish a few functionalities every few days versus working on individual stories most of which get over in the last day or two (iterative waterfall effect).
An effective Agile team is a delight to be around and can almost swarm over any problem that it faces. We work to imbue this essence into our training for teams.
AGILE
Refresher
Our Agile refresher focuses on providing deep dive into the history of Agile, Agile mindset, roles and responsibilities, waste reduction,, story point estimations, engineering practices, Scrum artifacts and ceremonies, antipatterns, big room planning, scaling ideas and other relevant topics. This interactive training aims to help both new and experienced Agile practitioners create effective practices.
STAKEHOLDER TRAINING
Agile cannot thrive by focusing solely on teams. For all round agility to grow and thrive in an organization, it’s important to educate the leaders, executives and other stakeholders on the Agile mindset. An effective Agile transformation must grow together in both (“bottom up” and “top down”) directions. Our training includes a broad range of topics to help the stakeholders understand clear meaning, expectations and empowerment of different roles, waste reduction, anti-patterns etc. We also provide practical ideas on how executives and senior leaders can help build trust through accountable actions that also minimize bureaucracy.
PROJECT RETROSPECTIVES
Many times Senior Management and Leadership want to invest in Agile but Teams and their Management may not feel very positive about it. Some of the reasons for the lack of buy in could be: A not so good prior experience with (fake) Agile implementation and/or teams feeling pressure about disruptions as a result of onboarding to Agile in the middle of a waterfall managed project. A good jump start way to bring agility and show its value is to invest in an external consultant to organize powerful, engaging project retrospectives. This helps teams to gather data and insights on how they can become better while providing leadership a chance to resolve high impact impediments that enhance productivity and happiness. We have over 10 years of facilitating powerful, meaningful, fun and engaging retrospectives that help you jump start Agile processes along with providing improvement ideas based on real data.
KANBAN
Our Kanban training helps the audience understand the history of Kanban, subtle differences between Scrum and Kanban, how to decide which one to use, how to make their Kanban process effective, how to balance between Scrum and Kanban (ScrumBan), what metrics to report, how to apply the various Kanban parameters effectively (e.g. WIP limits) etc. We also take a simple project scenario and help the attendees work through it using Kanban as a team.
USER STORY MAP WORKSHOP
This 2-day intensive workshop is aimed to help teams and departments understand the pitfalls of a flat backlog and how to use story maps to build products with a shared understanding, keeping the big picture in mind. The training starts with a detailed overview and usefulness of user story maps, leading to a hands on exercise (played as a team) followed by review of key takeaways. Next, the teams actually map a real product or feature on a wall and have conversations to break each user-step (on the map) into details, alternatives and exceptions. The map is then sliced into outcomes(releases) and actual stories are written and entered into a digital tool (such as Jira). The teams set-up further meetings to groom this map into stories for future sprints. This workshop needs some preparation from product, design and engineering. Scrum Masters need to invite specific people to this workshop.
EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP TRAINING
Executive leadership training is essential for any company to achieve true agility. The bottom-up agile transformations do not last long and get disrupted time and again if the leaders and executives don’t carry and execute with the Agile mindset. It has often been seen that the leaders who want Agile transformations in their organizations, also (unintentionally) create or become impediments to that transformation. The reason is that they lack the deeper understanding of Agile values and Principles which results in actions that hamper agility. Our state-of-the-art 1 and 2 day leadership training helps leaders imbibe the Agile mindset deeply. After this training the leaders move as Agile champions supporting the bottom-up transformation while championing the top-down transformation in parallel. Leaders learn to take accountability for resolving bigger impediments in a visible way which leads to minimizing bureaucracy thereby increasing agility
CUSTOMIZED TRAINING
We also provide customized personal onsite or online training to meet the needs of teams and organizations. Topics such as (but not limited to), TDD and other engineering practices, story point estimations, pair and mob programming, deep dive into Agile values and principles, improv games etc. come under this category.
