Amitabh worked with a group of 50 or so people comprising one of my teams at Google in 2022. Coming out of the pandemic, this group needed to be transformed from being a workgroup to a real team. Additionally, these folks were going through a challenging business environment requiring frequent pivots in priorities, and confusing product direction. Amitabh came aboard as an agile coach but was in the truest sense, a holistic team coach. He spent time with everyone from managers to key individual contributors helping develop them in a way that led to a stronger culture of trust and additional psychological safety. Agile practices like scrum teams, retros, and story mapping revamped the way the team interacted to communicate critical product and program management information, making the team so much more effective in problem solving and launching on a predictable schedule. I'm super proud of this team who I now view as one of the strongest performing in my overall organization.

Amitabh brings an innate wisdom when it comes to human interactions. While working with him it dawned upon me that good Agile Coaching (what I view as his strength) was all about people -- it combines a sensible, compassionate and efficient way of organizing teams that harnesses every individuals' strengths, and uses common sense ways of visual communication that make information more intuitive and digestible. Amit's Scrum Master training class is unique in that the emphasis is not just on being a Scrum Master, but also how to be a great leader. Anyone can take a Scrum Master training class online and pass the test ~ but Amit's demonstrates the soft skills that cannot be taught from a book or online.

It takes a passionate coach to infuse that passion, the human component of servant leadership into coachees. You feel it when you have Amit at the other end of the Zoom screen. I could almost touch it. I like that he included his breathing exercises into the training. This was an excellent bonus.

One might be inclined to say that Amit's strongest assets are his deep expertise of Agile and his ability to help teams perform and demonstrate Agile in a way that *actually* works - and change the minds of nay-sayers along the way. I would say that on the surface, this is a very apt description of one of his strongest assets. However, after working with him for several months, I would say that another one of his high-value strengths is his ability to empathize, communicate, influence, and execute consistently. Amit has always come as a servant-leader to every meeting I have seen him in. When he does this, he builds his credibility so fast and so powerfully. People listen to Amit because he is always kind, always a servant-leader, always compassionate. Please let me be clear - there will be many people who are *experts* in Agile; Amit is among them. But what makes Amit stand out is his consistency in being a servant-leader, easily creating positive change. He is very nice and considerate and it is always worth taking the time to ask him for opinionated suggestions.

Amit showed great energy and passion for Agile. He curated the training content based on the team's current understanding/adoption of Agile and led the training in a very engaging way. He certainly helped teams think 'how to implement Agile' from 'should we implement Agile'

Amit is an excellent instructor with a vision of uplifting human values and producing servant leaders who will be capable of transforming 'negative' environments to 'positive' and 'peaceful' environments. Amitabh has trained and formed me as a PO in my organization. While I have recently attended a formal training from Ken Rubin in the role of scrum PO, I had a more hands-on introduction through day-by-day interaction and coaching by Amitabh. By the time it came to the formal training I was familiar with most concepts and had opinions on what I thought works well and what I thought does not work well for me.

When I was first introduced to Amit as my team’s Agile coach, I immediately noticed his charismatic and positive personality. He was able to take my Scrum team of 12 senior level engineers that were deeply ingrained into the waterfall methodology and transition us into the Agile.

During the transition process, Amit faced many challenges that included dealing with people that were resistant to the change, accommodating a transition from Rally to JIRA, and numerous challenges raised with regard to making agile (a software development framework) work for infrastructure operations teams. He spent countless hour working with my team through Big Room Planning, sprint planning, and retrospect process to ensure that we arrived at an agile practice that worked for us.

Amit used his coaching and leadership skills to help create a team that is on the same page when it comes to Agile; as the first operations team to make the transition to Agile within our department and the largest scrum team on the train, my scrum team is now the model that other teams look to for inspiration.

I am grateful to Amitabh for coaching and transforming one of my scrum teams at Sony PlayStation. The team benefitted tremendously during the two sprints that Amit spent as an embedded team coach. The team now brings a strong rigor to scrum ceremonies and sprint planning is now a highly collaborative group exercise. The daily standups have transformed from a previously monotonous status sharing meeting to daily team building event around an organized task board with team members providing thoughtful participation and stepping up to counsel and offer help to a colleague in need --- all led by a scrum master as the servant leader. Team velocity is now distinctly more predictable and consistent from sprint to sprint. These two sprints were perhaps the most intense sprints for the team, but in the process Amit transformed a good team into a great one. Thank you Amit!

Amitabh brings all-round Agile knowledge and value to teams he coaches. He combines an extremely deep understanding of Agile Principles along with their practical application thereby positively impacting a team’s efficiency (from both the engineering and business viewpoints). Steve is an amazing person and an amazing coach. His expertise runs deep.
